Bill:

HB 1377

International Health Organization

International Health Organization

About the bill:

If this bill is passed, the leaders in Texas who make laws would change the state’s government code to change the power of certain international groups.

  • Texas Government Code: A big rulebook that explains how the government in Texas should work and what laws people must follow.

  • This bill will make it so:

    • The World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum don’t have any power in Texas.

      • The World Health Organization: A group of countries working together to help people stay healthy, stop diseases, and make sure everyone has good medical care.

      • The United Nations: A group of many countries in the world that works together to solve big problems like hunger and climate change.

      • The World Economic Forum: A group of leaders from different countries and businesses who meet to talk about money, jobs, and ways to improve the world’s economy.

    • Regardless of any other law, any rule, fee, tax, or policy from the World Health Organization, the United Nations, or the World Economic Forum can’t be put into action in Texas.

  • If passed, these changes start on September 1, 2025.
