About the bill:

If it passed, this bill would:

  • Make  people who are protesting and interrupting religious meetings get in trouble.

  • The first time someone interrupted a religious meeting, the person would have to pay $500 to the legal court, go to jail for a year, or sometimes both.

  •  The next time the same person protesting interrupts a religious meeting, the person would have to pay $1000, go to jail for no more than 2 years, or sometimes both.

  • Define interrupting religious meeting as:

    • Saying rude things or being loud inside the meeting

    • Blocking people from entering or leaving the meeting

    • Getting within eight feet of someone at the meeting to pass out papers, hold signs, or protest within 100 feet of the building entrance

    • Blocking traffic within a mile of the meeting location.
