About the bill:
If it passed, this bill would:
Make people who are protesting and interrupting religious meetings get in trouble.
The first time someone interrupted a religious meeting, the person would have to pay $500 to the legal court, go to jail for a year, or sometimes both.
The next time the same person protesting interrupts a religious meeting, the person would have to pay $1000, go to jail for no more than 2 years, or sometimes both.
Define interrupting religious meeting as:
Saying rude things or being loud inside the meeting
Blocking people from entering or leaving the meeting
Getting within eight feet of someone at the meeting to pass out papers, hold signs, or protest within 100 feet of the building entrance
Blocking traffic within a mile of the meeting location.
