Telehealth

If this bill passed, it would:

• Make any state organization or licensing board get rid of any rule that does not allow doctors to help patients who are trying to lose weight through telehealth. 

• Licensing board: a group that decides the rules on who gets a license to do a certain thing. 

  • License: a special card or piece of paper that says someone is allowed to do something that not everyone else can. To get a license, you usually have to study for a test to show you are able to do that thing.

• Telehealth: a doctor’s visit that you don’t have to go to an office for. You can talk to them over the phone or video.
