General Appropriations

About the bill:

  • This is a bill to set aside money for Georgia from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.  

  • Money is set aside for:  

    • Running the state government and its many groups.  

    • The state universities, common schools, counties, counties, and local areas.  

    • All other government activities, projects, and tasks that are okay to do according to the law

    • All contracts, agreements, and grants allowed by law.  

  • The bill includes rules for managing and overseeing the money

  • These changes start once the governor says so or if it becomes law without that “yes”.  

    • Governor: The main leader of the state.

  • Any laws that get in the way of this one will be gotten rid of if this bill passed.
